From a student's POV the behaviour is like this: I select a video category in the video library. I click on a video. It opens the video watch site. After watching the video, I can't go back to the selected video category - there is no back button on the video watch site, student needs to use the browser's back button to go back. Then the selected category is lost. If student wants to watch the next video in the same category, they have to choose the category again. This gets tedious if student wants to watch all 10 or 20 videos in 1 category. They need to select the category each time.
Suggestions for more user friendliness:
  1. When student clicks on a video they want to watch either open it in a new tab
OR introduce a back button on the video watch site that gets you back to the selection that was chosen before.
  1. Independent of #1, when student clicks on a video and the video watch page is opened, use the right hand side to display videos from the chosen selection/category. At the moment, random videos are displayed from all of the categories.
Those things would definitely lead to a better user experience!
