skip checkout for free courses and set content access expiration date

I request elimination of checkout process for free content. There's no reason to force someone to go through the checkout process if they are getting free content. It only adds friction. They should only need to create their account password and then immediately have access to the content in their dashboard.
Also, in course settings, I would like to have an option to expire access to free content after a set period of time. Currently, there is no way to do that.

I agree to the expiration of free courses being useful.
Bypassing checkout I'm. It sure about. New users still need to create an account on the platform which the checkout does. I've never had any people have a problem with going through checkout for a free course.

Ady Howes I have no problem with the student needing to create an account. I just think it adds friction for them to have to see a checkout page and have to fill out checkout fields. Other platforms have checkout and account setup on 2 different pages.

I would recommend a specific checkout page for free content instead of no checkout at all. This specific checkout page would not shoe any price and a simple « continue » button.

I would say that checking out also free content has some meaning, because as a new user, you don’t want to have all the free content automatically added or having available for you. You want to choose which content you want = checkout it.
Expiration of course is excellent and very useful idea.
