Processing/shipped status for orders containing physical products

When a physical products order is received it would be nice to sort out these orders as they need manual handling. Maybe it's own sub menu under sales?
Preferably if new orders could have a status like processing and the possibility to add a shipping tracking number / name of carrier / url to track shipping and then mark it as completed and the customer gets an email with that info.

Amani Saaduddin So, for the "Shipped" status....how would we be able to add the name of carrier and shipping/tracking number/url that would be sent to the customer by email (or in their dashboard) so they can track their package, once a physical product is shipped out?
