Currently, if you add a new action step to an existing workflow, the users already in that workflow do not advance. Only new future users will trigger the new steps. Our funnels evolve as we split test what works, so I'd like to be able to add emails to nurture sequences, or assign new bonuses, or add a coupon offer later in the workflow and have all existing users receive them.

Having a pause feature would allow new users to still enter the workflow when the trigger is triggered, but nobody advances through the steps until you have saved your changes and the automation is unpaused. (You can't just toggle the automation off, because new users would not enter the automation if you turn it off while you make edits).
