Option to disable multiple purchases of the same course under one account

We are receiving multiple reports from users who accidentally purchase the same course more than once under the same account. Many of our students are not familiar with technology or tend to skip warnings at checkout.
Additionally, some users try to buy different courses for multiple participants from one account, expecting individual certificates, which causes confusion and additional manual work on our side (e.g., checking payments, creating separate accounts, or processing refunds).
This is also creating payment disputes with our provider.
We would like the ability to disable repeated purchases of the same course under a single account, or at least have the option to enable/disable that feature ourselves in the platform settings.
