Please enable the ability to:
1. Edit coaching session dates after they’ve been scheduled.
2. Add or update the ‘lesson’ resources (Videos, resources, txt etc) after the scheduled session date.
This is a core feature for any real coaching program and should not require a workaround.
Why?
The current setup locks session content after the scheduled date, which makes it functionally unusable for actual 1:1 coaching.
Here’s how 1:1 coaching works:
A session is booked for an agreed date.
The session takes place.
The coach typically adds recordings, notes, or follow-up documents 24–48 hours afterward not before because there is no ‘agreed’ content for the session.
Sometimes, the session date shifts due to client or coach availability. This is common and exppected in coaching relationships.
Many coaching relationships are open-ended, with no fixed program length or set number of sessions or even fixed days for deliver. One session is booked when one ends.
I work with coaches globally and have done extensive research into coaching practice.
This is an industry standard.
What’s Not Working?
• You cannot edit or upload the lesson AFTER the session date.
• You cannot shift session dates if something changes.
• You cannot restructure a program once it’s in motion.
• Your workaround (allowing items/tasks/habits to be added to closed programs) does not solve the problem
• The system currently appears built for the delivery of a fixed training program, that coaching is built around - not a coaching solution.
Without this, I (and many other coaches) cannot:
• Migrate clients to this platform
• Recommend it to other professional coaches
• Use it as a real "1:1 coaching program" solution
If these limitations remain, the product should not be marketed as supporting coaching programs, as it fundamentally doesn’t support the delivery of 1:1 coaching.
Happy to offer more examples, test betas, or work with your team on this. It’s a foundational fix that would unlock the platform’s potential for a large and growing user base.
Final Note
I previously had this in Canny as a LOGICAL BUG in the hope that it would get some focus, but in both instances the bug has been marked as ‘completed’ because it has been closed with the suggestion to do work arounds that don’t solve the core problem. At the moment it is easier to just keep using other systems or workaround outside of EzyCourse. Very disappointing. I hope this gets some focus.
If your intention is that the system IS NOT used for this 'use case' ie. working 1:1 with clients, I apologise. Please let me know so that I can adjust my expectations and feedback accordingly.
