Feature request — bulk "Add tag" action for students/contacts (that triggers tag-based automations)

Hi team,

I'm trying to apply a tag to a large number of my students, where that tag is meant to trigger an automation (my workflow's trigger is "when a tag is assigned").

When I add the tag manually to a single student it works perfectly and the automation fires. The problem is doing it in bulk — I can't find any way to:

In the Students list, when I select multiple students the only bulk action available is Delete. There's no "Add tag" (or "Remove tag") bulk action.

Import only lets me bring in 5 students at a time without contacting support, so it's not a real option for tagging my existing base.

If I add the tag through a workflow's "Add tag" action, the automation that's triggered by that tag doesn't fire — so I can't use a workflow either.

As a result I'm adding the tag one student at a time to 1000+ students, which isn't workable.

Two questions:

Is there a bulk way to add a tag that I'm missing?

Are tags applied by a workflow supposed to trigger "tag assigned" automations? (For me they don't.)

And as a feature request: a bulk "Add tag" / "Remove tag" action for selected or filtered students/contacts — one that fires tag-based automations the same way the manual action does — would be a huge help.
