Due to the WhatsApp API age, we, the service providers, need to have a choice to collect and verify the phone number or WhatsApp number while signing up. 😊
The customer will be asked to enter their WhatsApp number, and a verification OTP gets shot. Upon entering the OTP, the no gets verified, and sign-up continues. 😊

Will this be limited to WhatsApp? What about telegram? As WhatsApp is owned by facebook and you can lose access due to their 'checking' conversations. I am finding more and more clients walking away from the Meta universe of products and their over arching monitoring.
